3rd Annual Salado Stroll

On Saturday, we went with Tania, Kimball and Barbi to the Salado Stroll. This is the third year we have all gone and it is a fun tradition.

First stop is eating at the Stagecoach Inn. If you have never been, I highly recommend it. The food is great and the waitresses are unique. They recite the menu by memory and only say it once. It is a good thing the menu never changes and since we have done this for several years, we already know what we are going to eat. I will say this year we had the nicest waitress to date.

After we eat, we go strolling down main street, visiting all the shops. I love all the lights and decorations...

We took our first horse drawn carriage down main street. Brian was very concerned about smelling horse butt, so we sat in the back. Turns out the carriage is powered by a generator, and the fumes from that overpowered the horse smell, haha. The carriage ride was a lot of fun. Addison was exhausted but had so much fun! We look forward to next year when McKenna can join us!

Baby Judah: The Escape Artist

My friend Amanda and I were due one week apart, it was great having a close friend to go though all the pregnancy stuff with. We saw different doctors in the same practice, so we would be delivering at the same hospital. Early on in the pregnancy I had a dream that my water broke when she was at the hospital.... turns out my dream came true. Crazy!

Amanda went over her due date and started the induction process on Wednesday July 15th. Sweet baby Judah was born on Friday. One Friday when I was admitted to the hospital I texted her letting her know I was downstairs. She & Jeff put Baby Judah in his crib and came on down to L&D. They were there a few minutes and then nurses & security were in our room looking for them. Turns out you are not allowed to leave the floor and when they did, people started looking for them. It was pretty hilarious and a fun story that we will always share.

After Addison arrived we were moved to the 3rd floor, next to Jeff & Amanda. It was such a blessing being able to share this experience with our dear friends.

Our trip to see Leanne

This past weekend Brian and I went to Denton to see Leanne, Heath, Skylar & Baby Carter. Normally when I go see Leanne I just hang out and help her with the kids. This time, I watched her every move! I do not have a lot of experience with infants, in fact, their bobble heads scare me. This past weekend I got to help Leanne a lot with Carter, I burped him, rocked him, comforted him, changed a poopy diaper, etc. I also learned a lot about schedules, feeding, managing an infant and toddler, etc. Needless to say it was the best hands on training I could have hoped for.

Carter is a precious sweet baby. Leanne seems to have him on a great schedule and he barely fussed at all. He literally just hangs out with the family and grunts every once in awhile to make his presence know. I also love Carters crazy hair!

Skylar... oh Skylar... she is such a cutie. Skylar really enjoyed playing with Brian, they were quite the team. She talks and talks and is a goofball. She is also one of the smartest 2 year olds I have ever met. Leanne has worked hard on educating her at such a young age and it has really paid off. Leanne looks great! I consider her to be super woman... She is a wonderful wife and mother, keeps her house clean at all times and runs the real estate business. Skylar took this lovely picture of us.

It was such a wonderful trip, I miss Leanne so much already. She is the most incredible friend and I just feel so blessed to have her in my life.

Baby Carter Zingelmann is here!

I am pretty sure most of you knew that my best friend Leanne was pregnant with her second child. She had her baby on January 2nd and he is precious!

Carter Chase Zingelmann January 2nd, 2009 at 11:01 p.m 8 pounds 9 ounces / 20.75 inches

Mom and baby are at home, doing well! I hope to go see Leanne and the baby in the next couple of weeks.
