Donuts with Dad

Since before kids were even on our radar, Brian has been looking forward to going to Donuts with Dad at our church. On Saturday, his wish came true! Addison really enjoyed having donuts and juice with her Daddy. They made me a Valentine's card and played on the playground. I could tell Addison really enjoyed the one on one time with Brian, she was beaming when they got home!

We said we would never do it...

One thing Brian and I said we would never use is the Baby Bjorn. They are very practical, but we never had the need with one kid. It is a different story now that we have two kids!

So far the Bjorn comes in handy when...

~McKenna wants to be held and Addison wants to play.

~Allows me to run around with Addison at Gymnastics without having to pause every few minutes to check on McKenna in the stroller on the other side of the room.

~Going to the grocery story. Addison goes in the cart, McKenna goes in the Bjorn. We have yet to do this, but this is really the only practical way until McKenna can sit up on her own.

Deep Conversations & Sock Wars

Can someone please translate what she is trying to say? We have the same conversation many times a day, sometimes she even points the finger at us!

FYI... Brian is the one throwing socks at her, another bad habit we will have to break at a later date.

Domain Christmas Tree Lighting

The Domain is one of my favorite places to be... I love the food, atmosphere, shops (even though it feels like forever since I have worn normal sized clothes) and Staci (my SIL) lives there. This year we decided to attend the annual Christmas tree lighting. Brian, Addison and I got there early so we could get a good parking spot. We hung out with Staci and walked around. Addison had a lot of fun riding on Brian's shoulders, she had the best view! When the time was near, we got a close spot near the tree and stayed there for over an hour waiting! The place was PACKED! They had a fun concert before the tree lighting and fireworks afterwards. Overall it was a good show. Addison enjoyed the fireworks as well.

I am really glad we went! Next year we plan on watching the fireworks from Staci's apartment.

Daddy & Addykins

This is the sweetest picture. Every morning Addison gets about 100 kisses from Daddy before he goes to work... She loves it! There is just something special about a Daddy and his daughter.

Addykins is Brian's special name for her... I am babykins or wifekins and can now be called Mommykins.

Working With Daddy

Last Saturday Brian had a weekend project, so I packed up the baby and we went to work with him. Addison did really well and Brian enjoyed the opportunity to hang out with us while he worked.
